I totally forgot to mention yesterday that during the documentary I passed around a pledge list for the water crisis. The pledge said that any given person signing would try and watch Last Call At the Oasis and do any of the itms on the list to try and conserve water in their own homes. I'm working on getting the pledge to work and be accessible here, online but it's tougher than I thought. I got about sixty signatures on that too!!! Safe to say, I'm ecstatic! Really the stress behind Doc Night was worth it because I've spread the words of two very worthy causes at once. And that, my friends, is exactly why I act the way I do and why I collected every peice of trash from the event and sorted through it at home by hand and recycled it because my school can't and emptied the not-completely-empty water bottles into my bushes and stayed strong despite the weird looks... because I'm setting myself up to make a difference. Stress doesn't matter. Image doesn't matter. I don't even matter unless something is changing, unless someone is being educated, and unless I can look back and say "I tried, really."
